A week in London.

• Week of 21-27 June btw.
• Monday and Tuesday.. working.
• Wednesday, design museum and London Dungeon with Chloe.. I managed to get a student discount, afternoon drinks on a boat with Jacques and Lara near Embankment, met Hein for drinks in Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus shopping for jeans and shoes to go out, Leicester Square, ended up at Zoo bar, memories of driving around in Hein’s Jeep listening to RHCP.

• “If you move your feet your body will follow.” – Covent garden street performer

• Thursday, work, I gave a TrustFabric talk at a London VRM Hub meeting.. met Andriana, fish and chips at a pub over the road with the VRM Hub people.
• Friday, smoothie with Iain from Mydex, Niketown, Apple Store.. day after the iPhone4 launch and very busy, Hamley’s to get Mia a Buzz Lightyear toy, Chinatown, Soho, electronics shops in Tottanham Court Road, I visited the Rosetta stone again, had a beer in Bloomsburry Park, Ben Harpen and Pearl Jam in Hyde Park with Jacques.
• I don’t think Vespa’s were designed to carry 200kg.
• Saturday, big English breakfast at the Mody Dick, helped Jacques with some wide angle property photos, Kobe burger at the Mayflower on the river.
• Sunday, Bento box in Soho, ice cream at St Paul’s Cathedral, watched England lose the football in Jacques’ local pub, Heathrow Express, some duty free shopping.. got an iPod Touch 32GB, flight to Joburg, watched 27 dresses – horrible but I enjoyed it, Wolverine – blah, Darjeeling limited – reminded me of our train ride from Cairo to Luxor.
• I have to say I’m always proud to say I’m from Cape Town when people ask.
• I had 4 phone calls in 3 weeks. Brilliant.

• My camera bag is probably my best investment in the last 12 months.
