  • Monday, office, started the process to onboard seven more ISPs onto the Octotel network, sunset promenade walk.
  • Mia is in the U13 2nd cricket team (one of two girls), and was invited to the WP trials.
  • Tuesday, gym, office, some last minute planning, very good negroni at the secret gin bar, dinner at Fork, The Waiting Room rooftop.
  • Is it possible to be addicted to learning?
  • Wednesday, work, office, workshop at Nick’s house, bubbly with Wouter and Rene.
  • BHAG = Big Hairy Audacious Goal
  • Thursday, work, salad at La Vie, five star Platter’s wine tasting at Caroline’s in the CBD with Paul – some great wines, oyster shots and seafood at Seabreeze in Bree street, Moro, La Vie.
  • Paul and I agreed that we’d be happy to take shelter at Caroline’s for the zombie apocalypse. Just need some cheese.
  • Zuma has fallen.
  • Friday, breakfast with Paul at Coco Safar – new place nearby, walked to the office, sunset promenade walk, a rib eye at Buzbey’s with Heleen, ice cream at the Mojo Market, Harvey’s.
  • Saturday, drove to Elgin with a new audio book, fetched Mia from a party, breakfast at the Peregrine Farm Stall, drove to Stellenbosch, found a gift for Jacques at Simonsig, sabraged a bottle of bubbly, family braai at Jacques’ for his 40th birthday, lots of red meat and spinach from Jacques’ urban farming project, time well spent.
  • Jacques brought me an autographed copy of 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan Peterson – cool gift, thanks!
  • Sunday, breakfast at Melissa’s Kloof Street with Mia, backups, configured Mia’s laptop and phone while she watched Meet Joe Black, we walked to the Waterfront, swapped Mia’s laptop case, book shop, sushi and hot sake at Balducci’s Sushi Bar with chats about Ayn Rand books, ice cream, installed Civilization V and Sim City 4 on Mia’s laptop (Steam sale).
