I can’t say I’m very optimistic about South Africa at the moment. About 15% of the country’s budget is going towards interest payments and debt is 60% of GDP. Add a junk status downgrade followed by a currency devaluation and things are going to get uncomfortable.

“They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.” — Banksy
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” — Frank Herbert, Dune, sci-fi meditation.
