Tuesday, up early, notes processing and blogging, mobility routine, walked to the office, dev catch up, cross connect migration planning, sunset podcast promenade walk, home prepared bachelor meal with spicy kimchi, watched the Apple iPhone 11 event with a fine merlot – tldr; in the future you will be able to upload wide angle photos over wifi6 from your phone! Wednesday, gym, office, VLAN migration – the more painful kind – where they don’t show up and then cause drama, an after work drink with Faizel at Mojo market, a night cap with Wouter at La Vie.
Thursday, work, mediator visit with Mia’s mom – surprisingly productive, conveyor belt sushi at 1890, City Rock climbing gym with Wouter – good fun, we played mobile Genius Bar team and went to go backup and restore a new iPhone for Rene.
Friday, gym, work, made a kimchi, eggs and halloumi brunch, catch up with Dirk, watched Mia’s (last primary school) athletics event – she was a cheerleader, found the only (other) cool parent – and caught up on some gossip, steak dinner with Mia, Moro gelato, time well spent.
Saturday, went to the Granger Bay market with Mia, Wouter and Zander – smoothie bowls and kimichi shots, found a new bottle of kimchi for my collection, Mia and I took a walk to the La Perla and had Tiramisu, sunset Hout Bay beach walk, half watched some lame vampire movie on Netflix while researching something, time well spent.

Sunday, up early because some losers had to come cheer for marathon runners, backups and device upgrades, brunch with Mia at Coco Safar, Mia and I completed her high school application forms, took a guided tour Zeitz Mocaa museum – Kentridge’s Why Should I Hesitate exhibition – it was vast – and very good – except for the insufferable artist types around, a beer on the 6th floor, Sotano, we watched Monsters University on Netflix, time well spent.

Monday, hello Spring, school run – a truck managed to block the highway and we were 30min late, Dirk visit, work, took a walk to the Waterfront, watched Once Upon A Time in Hollywood – entertaining movie – the ending is good, Mussels Monday at Den Anker – for free this time, watched Three Kings again – rad movie.

Friday, work, gym, swim, sauna, watched the rugby with Georg at Rockpool with a Hoegaarden, Clifton 1st, Rockpool with Paul, braai at home, watched the Fokofpolisiekar show at Mercury with Paul – always fun, Reset – where Paul lost his phone so I kinda lost him, Van Hunks for a fiery dragon, time well spent.
Saturday, woke up with a bloody mary craving, made some bloody marys with Paul, good chats with a bottle of Kaaimansgat, late afternoon nap – which turned into a 14h sleep.
Sunday, promenade walk, breakfast at Carlucci’s, random tinkering, server install with Linux 5.0, dinner with Wouter.
Monday, up early, blogging, gym, Green Point Park walk, office, dev catch up, stocked up on various salts for fasting, podcast nap, walk.

Friday, work, had an avo – first food for the week, Wembley Square, swim, sauna, a quick catch up with Jonathan, biltong shopping, fetched Mia from school, braai at Dirk’s – great meal, Mia and I watched the Pieter-Dirk Uys #HeTwo Evita Exposed show at the Theatre on the Bay – good show, time well spent.

Saturday, tea, device upgrades and backups, winter lunch special at Kloof St House with Mia, Moro Gelato, Glen Beach walk, sunset promenade walk, we watched Donnie Darko while I installed Afrikaans spell checking on Mia’s phone and laptop, time well spent.
Had some good value red wines this week: La Motte – Millennium, and Rupert Rothchild – Classique. I’m starting to think less is more – aka mildful drinking – and, South Africa has great wines at good prices compared to the rest of the world, might as well enjoy them.
Sunday, tea, random tinkering, shopping with Mia, Sunday lunch at the President Hotel with Georg and Mia, epic nap, braai with Wouter, good red wine and marzipan, time well spent.
