Quick Update

Bug out…

Prepping Gear
  • Week of 16-22 March.
  • Virus bug out, week 1.
  • …and then the world changed in three weeks.
  • Monday, school run, home office, fetched Mia, food shopping, sunset walk with Mia, we cooked some mexican food – Burritos this time, watched Venom again.
  • Tuesday, start of Mia’s school holidays – two days early – start of the virus bug-out – Mia managed to sleep until 10:00, we made smoothies, played some SimISP, Chivas 18yo night cap, in bed early.
  • Check out Jitsi Meet
  • Wednesday, two video conferences, two walks with Mia, sunset braai.
  • Irony, I think I’m getting more done now that everybody is good with video meetings.
  • I think I moved to the sticks just it time.
  • Thursday, smoothies, blogging, home office, sunset walk with Mia.
  • I wrote a blog post… Stay Healthy Cape Town
  • Friday, tea, smoothies, Mia slept until after 13:00 – impressive, home office, quick visit to Joostenberg Deli to buy some meat, watched Contagion – pretty close to our current drama.
  • Turns out soap is a pretty rad technology.
  • I added reCAPTCHAv3 on a few blog contact forms – spam was getting annoying.
  • I think I’ve solved my email delivery and spam problems over the last week or so.
  • Saturday, earl grey tea, we made omelettes, VitD walk, family braai over Facetime with iPad next to the braai – pretty cool.
  • The remote braai worked pretty well, but bigger screen and better mic would be nice, also need a way to add more people.
  • Sunday, steak for breakfast, last bit of shopping for a while in Franschhoek, Moreson visit, chilled afternoon at home.
  • This year we get to have the full AfrikaBurn prepping experience at home.
  • Imagine how bad this would have been without pretty good internet – omg.

Have a fun week, crazy kids.
