Health week 5/8, not the best health week, but lost 1kg.
Another last week of holiday.
Monday, woke up in Scarborough, Jacques and family left early, first day of (online) school for Mia, nap, shopping outing with Mia, sunset flaneuring walk to Scarborough beach, long phone chat.
Tuesday, up early, general tinkering, mobility routine, nap, Campari, braai with Nick, Simone, Wouter and Rene.
Wednesday, 6km flaneuring walk to Misty Cliffs with Rene, general tinkering with Nick, braai.
Thursday, beach house co-working, we made gourmet burgers with some pinot noir, nap, 1km swim with Mia at the Sun Valley gym, dinner with Wouter and Rene.
Friday, random tinkering, meeting, food shopping with Mia and a 1km swim, fillet braai in the weber with Jacques and family.
Saturday, brunch at the Noordhoek Foodbarn, Imhoff farm visit, nap, took a walk with Jacques around Scarborough, we braaied a picanha on the weber, watched Sideways again - rad movie.
I got to use my car's auto hill decent feature this week - Scarborough has some steep roads.
Sunday, walked to the beach, we made gourmet burgers, packing, drove back to Cape Town, Gardens Center, Waterfront book and tea shopping, Moro Gelato, 1km swim with Mia, sunset promenade walk, time well spent.
I made a deal with Mia that she has to close her Apple watch rings, record 10k steps per day, and record 5km swim per week.
Health week 4/8. 95kg - back to pre-lockdown weight.
Monday, gym, swim, nap, took my laptop for a keyboard repair, went window shopping at Orms - was looking at the R6 with RF 85mm lens, watched the squirrel show - no real news, watched Tenet - excellent movie - but it seems you need to watch it twice - with headphones and subtitles.
I was scratching my head about buying a camera. Then I realised, all the things I used to like taking photos of are not really happening at the moment. Social events, friends, Mia, AfrikaBurn, travel. iPhone seems fine for photo needs at present.
2020 = things went remote.

Tuesday, morning promenade walk, configured my old Macbook Pro to be useful for a few days, BIA machine visit, 1km swim with Rene, Waterfront - got some new shades on special, Mykonos Taverna lunch, nap, took a sunset walk to the Waterfront with Wouter.
My current diet: fasted swims, two walks per day, one Paleo meal per day, usually around 3pm, close fitness rings on the Apple watch, 10k steps per day, aim for around 300g fat loss per day.
Wednesday, up early to reboot a server, took a walk to Clifton, 1km swim with Rene, rice-free sushi at Nuri, prom walk, weekly meeting, another prom walk.
Thursday, took a walk to Clifton, renewed a car licence, fetched my laptop - the space bar is happy again, Wembley gym, sushi salad, nap, misty prom walk.
I suspect I had some Campari under that space bar.
Queuing to get into gym is lame.
Friday, morning walk, 1km swim with Rene, poke bowls at Mojo, nap, laundry, backups, nap, sunset promenade walk.

Saturday, breakfast at Stepbrothers with Wouter, packing, fetched Mia, coastal road drive to Scarborough, swimming, drone flying - if you take the little safety cage off it really goes crazy high up, campari, braai with Jacques and family.
Sunday, woke up in Scarborough, Jacques made brunch, I took Mia swimming gear shopping - Joe's Swimming Academy - not trivial shopping with a teenager - I got a new swimming cap, 1km swim at Westlake Virgin Active, campari, braai, nap, caught up on some blogging - I was 3 weeks behind.
Health week 3/8, back under 100kg. One meal per day.
New respect for - and focus on - staying active and healthy.
No alcohol for the rest of January, well - more like very little - only on weekends.
Monday, woke up at the Arabella, morning walk, swim, hair cuts at Somerset Mall, Plumstead, Pearl Valley, Bantry Bay, nap, sunset podcast promenade walk.
Tuesday, BIA machine visit with Rene, gym, swim, weekly meeting, long phone chat with Jacques, nap, sunset podcast promenade walk to the Waterfront.
Hot cold relationships, when to quit: when the hangover goes on much longer than the party.
Wednesday, swim, Waterfront to fetch an Airpod Pro replacement, sunset promenade walk to Camps Bay with Rene.

Thursday, 1km swim with Rene - Joe's swimming academy, oysters at Mojo market, we made ginger and turmeric shots, laundry day, La Tete dinner box, sunset podcast promenade walk, long phone chat with Anton in Belgium.
The world has gone a bit crazy lately. Next 5 years are going to get weirder. Communism without the socialism.
No deal is better than a bad deal. Not getting a deal is not a sin. Taking a long time to not get a deal is a sin. So... 1) Good deal. 2) No deal. 3) Bad deal. 4) No deal, taking a long time.
Friday, early morning promenade walk, coffee at Stepbrothers with Wouter, I drove to Franschhoek, we had a late lunch at Lust Bistro at Vrede & Lust.
Saturday, woke up at Vrede & Lust, we went swimming at the Val De Vie 50m pool, Paarl Mall to buy some shoes and a shirt (for dinner) - I figured out it's been more than a year since I had to wear formal shoes, afternoon at Moreson with King Julian, nap, last date at Rust & Vrede - excellent food - I was a bit late so had to drive faster than usual - which was fun, kinda managed to get trapped by the 9pm curfew - awkward.
