Monday, woke up in Bantry Bay, laptop tinkering, photo processing, breakfast with Wouter and Rene, blogging, hardware ordering, nap, Camps Bay tidal pool swim with Wouter and Justin, braai and a good catch up with Wouter.
Tuesday, coffee at Stepbrothers with Wouter, walked down to The President Hotel for a meeting and some lunch, 2 hours of lying still, promenade walk.
Wednesday, up early, coffee at Lily’s, Waterfront, Maaji shop, mussels at Den Anker, got some Costa Azzurra, weekly meeting, braai at home.
Thursday, up early to migrate a mail server, nap, fetched Mia, Haute Cabriere – chats about nomad lifestyles.

Friday, family braai at Jacques’, Bentley finally met the family.
Saturday, family lunch at Hartenberg, dropped Jacques off at the airport so he can go spend ten days in UK covid isolation.
The Hartenberg uber premium range wines are nothing short of epic.

Sunday, shopping with Mia and Charlotte – got some memory foam pillows again, club house sushi with Mia, dropped Mia off at Rushmore, very good Le Lude bubbly.
Monday, morning walk – Clifton 1-4 beach and back, Debian 10.8 upgrade day, Camps Bay tidal pool swim with Wouter and Justin.
Tuesday, Facebook ad making, swim with Rene, weekly meeting, drove to Paarl, had some sipping tequila, Pearl Valley club house sushi.

Wednesday, Paarl Mall outing, Pearl Valley club house pool, made a pretty epic salad.

Thursday, up early, 1km swim, breakfast at The Yard, bumped into Gerjo, meeting, pre-valentines spa day at Leeu Spa – sadly no Interstellar sounding music this time, swim, bubbly, sushi again.
Friday, took Bentley for a walk, omelette at Back’s, fetched Jacques, lunch at Harbour House in Kalk Bay, False Bay Shooting Club with Jacques, Adrian and Tian – we shot the 50cal – pretty impressive gun, Brass Bell, braai at Jacques’.
Saturday, up early for a router upgrade, nap, Hazendal – Bircher muesli, wine tasting, swim, family braai – de-boned leg of lamb on the braai.
Monday, woke up in Pearl Valley, drove to Stellenbosch, phone chat with Dirk, coffee with Eduan, ginger shot at the gym and a 1km swim, found some swimming ‘power paddles’, drove to Cape Town, ostrich burger in a bowl at Da Vinci’s, sunset podcast promenade walk.
Tuesday, morning podcast walk to Clifton, weekly meeting, lunch at Strolla, nap, sunset walk – we can visit the beach again and have drinks.
Wednesday, up early, coffee in De Waterkant, found some new (zero drop) trail shoes, gym, swim – with my new paddles, car wash, breakfast in Green Point, we found an ankle bracelet, Waterfront shopping, a beer at Den Anker – it’s been a while, Point Mall, nap, weekly meeting, dinner with Wouter, Rene and Justin, after sunset podcasts promenade walk.
Thursday, 1km swim with Rene, a last lunch at La Tete with Wouter, Sonja and Rene, nap, weekly meeting.
Friday, up early, podcast walk to Clifton, weekly backups, lunch at Glen Carlou, wine tasting at Nobel Hill.

Deprivation is usually a good cure – for modern problems.
Sunday, fetched Mia, Franschhoek, Anura wine tasting, lunch at cosetcha – very good, wine tasting at Glen Carlou, swim, some Tannat red with Wouter and Rene, time well spent.
Monday, woke up in Bantry Bay, a quick walk to Clifton, random tinkering, Waterfront – we got Mia an Apple watch S5, 40mm + Silver + White strap, I got a watch cover (which was a good idea until the first swim), salads for supper with Wouter and Rene.
Tuesday, a walk to Camps Bay with Rene, meeting at Strolla, gym, sunset braai with Wouter, Rene and Luke.
I think I’m starting to look like a swimmer again. I fit in my 2019 trousers.
Wednesday, breakfast at Stepbrothers with Wouter, general tinkering, some creative writing, 1km swim with Mia, iOS and WatchOS upgrade day, we configured Mia’s watch for GSM use (Vodacom OneNumber) – now I can bug her even when she forgets her phone, weekly meeting.
Thursday, morning podcast prom walk, played graphic designer, 1km swim with Mia, car wash, Waterfront, haircut, shopping, salads at Col’caccio, network meeting, backups.
It’s becoming fairly easy to swim 1km. I think I should start swimming 1.6km at a time.
Friday, packing, fetched some flowers at Dalewood, lunch at De Meye – always great, took a walk around Pleasantville.
Saturday, up early, breakfast at The Yard, 1km swim in the 50m pool, Paarl Mall, made salad tacos, face masks and bubbly.
Sunday, overcast morning, took the dog for a walk, 1km swim, breakfast at The Yard, fetched Mia, Waterfont shopping, early supper at Lily’s, Moro Gelato, rainy walk phone chat with Jacques, watched The Big Lebowski again.
